Every Christmas, my Mother-in-law makes this wonderful white stuff...I've only every called it the white stuff and don't know if it actually has a name! Since we moved to Alaska, we don't get to enjoy her baking...(which is pretty awesome...she goes all the way at Christmas!) I asked her for some of the recipes, including the tasty white stuff:)
As I can't just enjoy this uber tasty treat all on my own I thought I would share it!
You'll need the following:
-Cherrios (or Toasted Oats if you're cheap like me)
-Rice Chex (or generic once again!)
-Pretzels ( I prefer the sticks, but any will do)
-M &Ms
-Peanuts...I don't like these, so I left them out this time
-White Candy Coating or Almond Bark
-A large bowl
-A small bowl
-Spatula
-Cookie sheet
-Wax paper or Silpat
Step One: Mix Cherrios, Chex, Peanuts and Pretzels in the large bowl...I usually put in about a cup and half each except peanuts(1 cup)
Step Two: Put Candy Coating in the small bowl and microwave for about 45 seconds. Stir. Add more time if needed.
Step Three: Pour the melted Candy coating over the other ingredients.
Step Four: Stir it all up, making sure it doesn't have any clumps!
Step Five: Add in the M&Ms...add as much as you want! Stir them in.
Step Six: Spread mixture onto the Silpat or Wax covered cookie sheet.
Step Seven: Walk away...let it cool for at least 20 minutes.
Step Eight: Break it up into clumps. It should be hardened to the point where it will stick together unless you break it up.
Step Nine: Enjoy! Or store:)
I was able to get about two containers full from this one batch. It's super easy and tastes delicious! Oh it's also addictive so be careful!!
